Woman Rescues A 21-Year-Old Abandoned Cat Making Sure He Enjoys His Last Days

Instead of enjoying his last days of life, this 21-year-old cat, Tigger, was abandoned by his owner at a local vet clinic.

The poor cat was lost and confused, thinking that his owner would return for him, but little did he know his owner was not coming back.

Luckily, something even better was about to happen to Tigger. During his time at the shelter, he had no idea that he’d get a chance to enjoy his last days, despite everything he had been through.

When Adriene Buisch (Nicole) saw Tigger’s story, she knew she had to have him.

Adriene wanted to give Tigger the love and life he needed and deserved, and nothing could stop her from rescuing him, not even learning about his medical condition.

Unfortunately, Tigger was diagnosed with kidney failure and even worse, a golf-ball-sized tumor. He was in a bad condition, both inside and out. He was underweight, and his fur was separated and matted.

However, with a lot of love, attention, and good care, everything can get a lot better. He was put on a special diet and provided with necessary treatments, so he managed to put on a few pounds and grow his fur back.

Despite everything, Adriene still wanted Tigger. She said:

“Though he has kidney failure, and we found a tumor, he kicks it like a 12-year-old. We decided to create a bucket list full of random adventures for him. Though it might not be much to others, all the little trips outside are a blast for him because he loves to be outdoors… the beach being his favorite so far.”

Thanks to Adriene, Tigger really enjoyed his remaining days, and he deserved nothing less. Also, Tigger knew that Adriene was his rescuer, so he showered her with love and gratitude every day. She said:

“He has forever changed our hearts and will hopefully change the hearts of others when it comes to adopting older pets!”

I agree with Adriene… Adopting an old cat is the kindest act you can do. They won’t be with you forever but know they’ll be grateful for every minute they spend with you.

So, if you’re looking for a new feline friend, consider adopting an older cat – it will definitely change your heart and life, just like it changed Adriene’s.
